Sheffield Bricktropolis

This August LEGO™ took over Sheffield city centre and we were privileged to host a LEGO™ landmark in The Forum Shops and Boutiques corridor. The trail featured the Eiffel Tower and Empire State Building, whilst we hosted a lesser-known but still remarkable figure- The Turning Torso.

The Turning Torso is in Malmo, Sweden and looks out across the Øresund strait to Copenhagen. It is the tallest building in Scandinavia and the first twisted skyscraper in the world.

On a mini tour round Scandinavia, one of our team saw the Turning Torso in the flesh and thought it was formidable and bright white against the landscape. Travelling across Øresund Bridge it stands out on the coastline and we completely understand why it made it onto the Bricktropolis trail along with other amazing models.

Over the two weeks we welcomed hundreds of families and many dined with us taking advantage of our ‘Kids Eat Free’ offer at the Forum Kitchen + Bar, The Devonshire and Common Room.

We’d like to thank Sheffield Bid and Bright Bricks for an amazing event and look forward to more exciting trails in the future.
